Id like to see exactly how much armor blocks how much damage.
I know around 40 armor blocks 30% or so damage, and 100 armor blocks 50% damage (diminishing returns) But thats it. I got no exact numbers. No chart.
I was wondering whether it would be worth it to make an attack damage heavy runepage for talon as opposed to armor pen. You could probably squeeze 35 attack damage at level one if you buy dorans blade. Thats alot of damage.
42 damage to W.
53 damage to Q.
63 damage to ulti.
Thats 158 damage to your combo just from runes and dorans blade.
If i knew armor values i could weigh the numbers and see if they favor armor pen or AD for early game or late game. I hear AD is best early and Armorpen is best late, but this goes against what i know about diminishing returns. Later, when people have more armor, armor pen means less because of diminishing returns. Its most potent at the start of the game when you can potentially be doing true damage with all your abilities. AD is just as effective at 60 minutes as it is at 5 minutes.

Feb 09, 2017 You can thank 1.9 for that; I think that armor penetration is the dumbest thing they ever added - it has hardly any effect on most mobs because they do so little damage, usually penetrating no more than one armor point in full diamond (80% to 76% damage reduction) - but made creepers over-the-top overpowered; with a maximum explosion damage of 49 on Normal and armor losing one armor. If your current armour provides 50% in damage reduction against a level 63 mob, you have 7285 armour. However, if you want to add another 25% on top of your 50% to get 75%, you'll need 21855 armour. So the EXTRA amount of armour that you need to add is 21855 - 7285 = 14570. Jan 21, 2013 Its simple math. 100 dmg - 50% reduction and then x2 on crit, it will end up with 100dmg. Though with flat damage reduction, meaning X armor reduce damage taken by Y amount of points its possible to have such result. Its also simple math case.

- May 20, 2019 The formula exists somewhere regarding mixed magical/physical damage reduction, but I'd be happy to update it if more people would ask, and if I find the time to do so. I don't know the exact formula of Soul Breaker but it works exactly like Grand Cross.
- Armor As Damage Reduction. In the abstract d20 combat system, a character’s armor defends him by reducing the chance that an attack will deal damage. That system simplifies the realities of battle in order to streamline combat resolution.
